On Wednesday night (May 29), T.I., along with Maserati, hosted the demo launch of the new social and marketing app Yopima (Your Opinion Matters) at the Maserati dealership in New York. A tool that helps users find the hottest spots in each city, the app also aids event planners in finding their core demographic. Guests included hip-hop mogul Kevin Liles, Jennifer Williams from Basketball Wives, and 106 & Park hosts Pagion and Shorty Da Prince.
Those in attendance also got to enjoy an impromptu performance from the King himself. Dennis Campbell, one of the core developers of the app explained some of the perks of Yopima. “It’s a marketing app that lets users see what an event is like before they get there,” says Campbell. “It gives you a digital breakdown and tells you how many people are at the event before they get there. It takes the social keys (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and wraps it around the event so you can see what people are saying about it before you go and helps you see an event before you get there.”
The creators of Yopima have launched demos across the nation, with the next event coming up in Miami. The app will be available on both Android and iPhone. Click through to check out pics from the event.
