Tinashe is proving to be a force to reckoned with and we’re so here for it. Ever since the release of her single “2 On” from her 2014 album, Aquarius, the 21-year-old singer has been making a name for herself.
Checking out the features on her debut album, the vocals on her recent mixtape Amethyst, and switching from Iggy Azalea’s tour to Nicki Minaj’s The Pinkprint Tour, it looks like Tinashe has a good head on her shoulders and the talent to complement. Also being called one of the “New Voices of Soul” by V Magazine doesn’t hurt either. It looks like the good people over at “Be You” are taking notice of all her accomplishments.
Along with singer Jacob Latimore, Tinashe kept it cute in her photos for the “Be You Campaign.” In the follow-up interview, she discusses her recent claim to fame and how she finds it incredible to have fans waiting outside of her hotel for pictures, but she still feels like she’s living out her dreams. She says her sense of tunnel vision is unique because it’s rarely seen in the music industry now.
“My tunnel vision work ethic is very hard to come by, I believe,” she said. “I have had an unwavering faith in myself and my career for as long as I can remember.” Tinashe makes it clear that she’s strictly about her business and music only; you won’t be hearing about any boy drama from her. She reveals in the interview that she hates being asked about boys because she finds the topic to be “boring and irrelevant.” Go you, Tinashe!
