The first-ever Trayvon Martin Invitational is being held over the weekend at the iconic Rucker Park in Harlem. In conjunction with VIBE Magazine, HOT 97, BKNY Printing, Kevin Powell and BK Nation, street hoop teams like the Bingo All-Stars from Bronx, Brooklyn’s Xmen, and the Skull Gang from Harlem came out to play some ball for the Trayvon Martin Foundation.
A total of eight teams are trying to get to Monday’s (July 29) 8PM championship game at Rucker Park. In the meantime, check out photos from the first two rounds of gameplay.
All Proceeds will go to the Trayvon Martin Foundation. The Foundation will have a tent where they will solicit donations upon entry into the Park as well as via a Text to Donate call to action during the game. www.trayvonmartinfoundation.org
