Drake’s “Hotline Bling” video, which has caused the Internet’s most creative to bring their A-Game in regards to memes and gifs, has also helped to increase the sales of Moncler jacket because Drake has that kind of effect on people.
A Moncler rep spoke with Vanity Fair and said after the video debuted with Apple Music Monday night (October 19) Moncler sold double the number of jackets that following Tuesday.
“We had a great result on the e-commerce sale of the Maya model,” he said.
The cherry red puffy bomber can be seen in the first few seconds of the nearly five minute video helmed by director X. And while the 6-God dresses down the jacket and pairs it with a white T-shirt and Timbalands, the retail value is $1,150. Folks may have missed the jacket being as though Drake showed off his now infamous Bachata, two-step and drunk uncle dance moves, but something tells us Aubrey knew exactly what he was doing.
