Kmart Fashion is teaming up with emerging fashion designer Telfar Clemens to keep fashion fiends up-to-date on the latest trends for a great price this Fashion Week. Featuring a limited-edition beanie, the innovation-inspired #KnowNewTrends campaign will also include art from Jeanette Hayes and Chloe Wise, who will curate original pieces across social network platforms.
“It’s inspiring to see a heritage brand like Kmart at the forefront of everything that is exciting about fashion right now,” Hayes said, “they really stand for personal style and interpreting trends in a way that reinforces individuality, so I’m proud to be part of this groundbreaking event.”
The #KnowNewTrends partnership will also host the Telfar Clemens Fashion Week presentation at The New Museum in New York City on Feb. 10, where Kmart will serve as an official sponsor and the hashtagged beanies will be given to guests.
“I’ve been impressed with Kmart Fashion’s support of Fashion Week over the past few seasons, and while I was initially surprised when they approached me about the partnership, once I learned about their ‘Money Can’t Buy Style’ brand ethos, it made perfect sense,” Clemens said. “My goal for this season’s show is to bring the concept of scale to life through an immersive experience so there’s a natural synergy with Kmart and the hundreds of designers in their SoHo design center, all dedicated to making the latest trends widely accessible, a true representation of how new trends scale nationally.”
