At 10 years old Egypt Ufele, who goes by “Ify” was made fun of in school because of her weight, and says she was even stabbed with a pencil by bullies.
Instead of sulking in grief about her circumstances, the resilient fifth-grader took out her grandmother’s sewing machine and started creating a fashion line for all women, including plus-size women, which was featured in New York’s Fashion Week.

“People applaud me and tell me I’m good at fashion,” Ify said.
Ify’s line is titled “Chubiline,” which she describes as bringing “Africa to America one design at a time.”
“I turned negative attention into positive attention,” Ify said.
And she did all of this at just 10 years old. Imagine what she does at 20?
