Lady Gaga may have moved viewers of the Grammys with her David Bowie tribute, but Iman made an equally special statement on the interwebs Monday evening.
The supermodel and businesswoman posted a photo wearing a Black sweater embroidered with his name and clever odes to his legacy with colorfully crafted peacocks. Iman let the beautiful piece speak for her on Instagram but dropped the possibility the sweater will be a part of Gucci’s Fall 2016 line.
E! News reports Iman did not attend the awards, despite major speculation. Bowie was honored by Lady Gaga in a melody of hits such as “Fame,” “Heroes,” and “Let’s Dance,” by channeling Ziggy Stardust. He was also honored in a video the “In Memoriam” portion of the show with B.B. King, Natalie Cole, and DJ Big Kap.
