Kendrick Lamar continues to champion unity in his new collaboration with Reebok. The Grammy-award winning rapper teamed up with designer Ian Paley to add a deeper level of significance to the Classic Leather shoe, as it “unifies” gangs and paints a special reminder of the rapper’s own extremities.

“Kendrick is taking a different approach with his capsule, as he’s building purposeful product that has a message of unity which transcends the Bloods and the Crips,” Damion Presson, director of entertainment marketing at Reebok, told Billboard on Wednesday (June 22.) “This shoe reflects the sentiment of youth culture globally, and Reebok Classic has stood the test of time and continues to inspire the next generation of consumers who look to be fashion forward while embracing the nostalgia of an iconic shoe.”
This collection follows Kendrick’s spin on the Reebok Ventilator in 2015 and his initial anti-gang violence take on the Classic Leather at the top of 2016.
“Kendrick’s appreciation for the rich history of Reebok makes him the ideal partner to represent our collective visions,” Presson continued. The Reebok x Kendrick Lamar Classic Leather will hit stores July 1. Adult sizes will cost $109.99, with toddler versions selling at a cool $41.99.
Sounds like we’ll keep our eyes out for K. Dot’s third effort.
