Naomi Campbell will be honored during the magazine’s Street Style Day Party in Brooklyn, which in the past has celebrated many celebrity style muses. Musician Kelis and YouTuber Kellie Brown will also be honored at the fest.
Comedienne and Insecure star Amanda Seales will host the event, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Duggal Greenhouse. Even more exciting, Teyana Taylor and “Queen of Afrobeat” Yemi Alade will be among the performers for the day’s event.
“This will be the publication’s first festival since defunct publisher Time Inc. sold it to cosmetics mogul Richelieu Dennis earlier this year,” writes Page Six.
This has been a year full of accolades for the legendary British supermodel. Campbell received the CDFA Fashion Icon Award back in June.
“Being from London, my personal style has always been tremendously influenced by both the dynamic, ever-changing nature of street culture and the music scene,” Campbell said of the honor. “I grew up in this industry and I’m forever grateful to the iconic American fashion designers who have supported me and celebrated me throughout my career.”
