Sneaker Con, the premiere event for sneakerheads to cop some of the latest and most recent kicks, will be making a return to NYC.
The phenomenon touched down in Atlanta in September where guests got the opportunity to see the Nike Air Mag and Air Yeezys in person. Pharrell’s Adidas NMD “Human Race” shoe also made an appearance. The event will be held on Nov. 5 & Nov. 6, just after it takes place in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region this weekend (Oct. 15.)
Sneaker culture remains at an all-time high. Last year, The Brooklyn Museum held the first exhibition to explore the cultural significance of footwear and display. Almost 150 pairs of some of the most revolutionary kicks to ever be released were displayed for fans. The international sneaker market has grown 40% since 2004 and has grossed at least 55 billion, Forbes reports. Statistics show sneaker sales in the U.S. increased by 8% in 2015. The sneaker movement is real and here to stay.
The event will be a $25 admission for entry and will last for two days from 12-7pm. So far, sponsors include Sprite, Crep Protect and Freshness Mag.
We will keep you posted as more details emerge on the largest sneaker convention taking place next month. In the meantime, cop tickets to the event here.
