Beats By Dre has a new addition to the family with the launch of its Pill+ speaker (Oct. 7). Keeping sound quality its top priority, the new speaker boasts a crisper sound with a clean and sophisticated design.
Though slightly larger than its predecessor, the Pill+ delivers bigger, better, and fuller sound with a stereo active two-way crossover system to create optimized sound fields for dynamic range and clarity. It’s still portable in nature and won’t occupy much room in your Herschel bag. Easy access button controls are now just a tap away while the companion app will allow you and your friends to swap DJ duties.
“When you obsess about sound the way that we do at Beats, portable Bluetooth speakers can be very tricky,” said Beats President, Luke Wood, in a statement. “We spent countless days, weeks, months testing for that perfect combination of form and function – small enough to travel but still big enough to feel the emotion of the music. That’s what you get with Pill+.”
It gets better. The Pill+ stays charged up like Drake for up to 12 hours. Slated to hit shelves next month, the new speaker will retail for $229.95 and come in black or white.
Beats is also holding down the fitness junkies with its colorful Active Collection, which debuted last month and brings the Beats Solo2 Wireless, Beats Tour2, and Powerbeats2 Wireless together in perfect harmony.
