The fitspirations to many – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – has some more big news to share. Nearly two months after revealing his partnership with sports apparel & accessories king, UnderArmour, he has come back to the web to unveil what they’ve been working on.
The former “Wake Up Call” coach took to his social media accounts to share products from his latest initiative, Project Rock – a motivational lifestyle brand designed to help people everywhere achieve their goals.
“Project Rock recognizes that we are all a work in progress, consistently trying to get better and working harder toward our goals. Understanding the grit, grind, and sacrifice, I wanted to find a way where I can embark on a journey with others, to inspire them to constantly chase their greatness no matter the intensity,” said Johnson.
After an 18-month focus on engineering and innovation with UA, the former wrestler revealed two limited-edition products – the heavy-duty, water-resistant and abrasion-resistant Range Duffle Bag and Regiment Backpack.
That’s why partnering with Under Armour made so much sense, they embody the idea of this constant growth and progression, and together we want to help push people through their own ongoing pursuit of innovation: mind, body, spirit.
The Range Duffle bag – fit for a traveller, outdoor enthusiast and gym rat – converts into a backpack. Its element-resistant features include ergonomic foam-padded HeatGear® shoulder straps, a compression-molded foam back panel, a padded laptop & tablet sleeve and more. The Reminent Backpack is a more comfortable sporty everyday pack, with a side-zip water bottle pocket, 2 side buckle organization pockets, perfect for those always on the run, but not traveling light. Unfortunately, fans and fitness heads will have to wait for these new durable items to arrive at the door for they’re currently available for pre-order on UnderAmour.com.
With apparel, footwear and more accessories on the way, The Rock’s mission for inspiration doesn’t stop here. Besides partnering with Under Armour’s fitness tracking system, Healthbox, the Central Intelligence actor also shares workout tips on Record by UA and will be joining Under Armour’s “UA Freedom” philanthropic initiative to inspire, honor and support members of the United States Military, first responders and public safety officials.
