Milwaukee Bucks point guard and 2014 Rookie of the Year, Michael Carter-Williams, has collaborated with upscale shoe retailer Allen Edmonds to curate a special edition shoe to showcase his fresh fashion sense on and off the court.
Dubbed the MCW5, the dress shoe that retails for $295 features cap-toe, brogrueing and perfing, an all-weather Dainite sole, green top eyelets and a sharkskin heel and tongue, highlighting both the impeccable American craftsmanship that goes into each shoe produced by the brand and Williams’ own personal style.
According to the Edmonds site, Carter “chose the shark skin as a fashion-forward touch indicative of the unique court vision that allows him to play two passes ahead.” “We’ve paired the black leather and shark skin upper with grey stitching for a cool look that’s as smooth as his skills,” they added. And when it came to the subtle add-on of green eyelets, they wanted to match his Milwaukee jersey color.
And for more than the sake of just looking fly, 10% of sales will go to benefitting the Special Olympics Wisconsin. You can cop a pair of the MCW5’s here.
Press play as Williams’ gives an exclusive behind-the-scenes of the MCW5’s design and more. You can catch Williams on court at Thursday night’s game between the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers at 8pm ET on TNT.
