Whether you’re a man or woman, getting summertime fine takes some time and time in itself is hard to come by. Thankfully Summer has yet to make a consistent appearance (on the East coast, at least) and the W Hotel wants to help you make the most out of the time you do have.
The luxurious hotel chain’s New York City location is partnering up with the Fit Factory NYC and Pace For Success for the first ever 2016 Fit Fest. The 2-day event packed weekend kicks off on Friday, June 3rd and will feature a slew of calorie-burning activities including Inner Rebel Yoga, an Agility Run along the West Side Highway and Boxing.
Although the “W Fit Fest Crash with Us Package” (at $299) features access to every class and a solid swag bag, a one-night stay at NYC’s W New York – Downtown lets you work hard and rest hard after it’s all said and done. If it turns out the package price is deal breaker, the super-active event allows classes to be purchased a la carte.

Friday, June 3rd – W Fit Fest Kick Off Bootcamp
6:30PM – 7:30PM
Class Description: This fast paced Bootcamp class offers 1 hour of high intensity intervals, guaranteed to burn 1000+ calories and offer a fun challenge. The founder of Pace For Success and Fit Factory NYC, Jasmine Graham, leads the charge with help of her team which includes celebrity trainer Corey Rouse and Sports and Conditioning maniac Thomas Boatswain. This Beauty and the 2 Fitness Beasts have created a workout that consists of 8 stations for upper body, lower body, core and cardio conditioning. Participants will be at each station for 90 seconds and will rotate through all eight. Then, they will rotate through 8 NEW exercises for 90 seconds each. The class ends with an all-out BURN OUT segment and some well-deserved stretching.
Saturday, June 4th – Agility Run
Registration: 7:30AM at W New York – Downtown
8:00AM – 8:45AM
Class Description: This 45-minute workout lead by Finish Line Physical Therapy Therapists Alicia Ferriere, Raechel Bugner and Cat Nadeau, alongside Pace For Success Coaches Melody Davis and Erica Steverson, takes you on a run along the West Side Highway Greenway, with stops along the way at various locations to engage in running-specific functional strength, agility and plyometric exercises. The workout is the perfect blend of running and strength that will challenge the body in all three planes of motion.
Saturday, June 4th – Boxing
Class Description: This Boxing For All class is a fun way to learn real boxing technique while still getting an awesome workout. A mix of cardio and boxing, participants get their heart pumping with all body weight exercises like boxing related squats, weaves and air punches, done at a rigorous pace, then spar with partners and practice their mitt work with trainers. The class is made specifically for all skill levels and boxing equipment is provided.
