After announcing his North American solo tour ‘2 Good To Be T.R.U.” which kicks off February 2nd in Boston, 2 Chainz is now announcing a philanthropy event in Atlanta. On December 21st, through his T.R.U. Foundation, 2 Chainz will host a basketball tournament for kids between the ages of 10 and 13 at North Clayton High School. Winners will receive the coveted trophy, along with special prizes and an Adidas uniform.
Two days later, on December 23rd, his T.R.U. Foundation will host the 4th Annual Street Execs Christmas Concert at Tabernacle, featuring Travis Porter, Young Dolph, Cap 1, Young Money’s Shanell, Rich Homie Quan, B.o.B., Young Dro, and Trinidad James. Doors open at 6 PM and admission is free with your donation of one wrapped gift. All collected gifts will be distributed between Kandi Cares, the T.R.U. Foundation, Toys for Tots and seven families adopted by Street Execs and it’s clients.
The T.R.U. Foundation is an Atlanta-based non-profit organization geared towards fighting against poverty, dismal education, and domestic violence. Founded by 2 Chainz and Nakesha Ward in March, 2013, The T.R.U. Foundation is geared to assist those in need, specifically in areas such as education, money management, and job readiness. The organization will also provide resourcessuch as shelter placement, relationship counseling and scholarship programs. — Max Weinstein
