Allow 2 Chainz to explain why presidential candidates suspend their campaigns in his very own segment “2 Chainz Explainz” on The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore, broadcast last night (Mar. 8).
While Ben Carson’s suspension of his presidential campaign for the GOP bid rather than a full-fledge cancellation has us scratching our noggins, The Artist Formerly Known As Tity Boi offers up a reason as to why in his short spiel.
“Suspending your campaign is all about the money,” the MC explains to the show’s host. “If you suspend your campaign but don’t quit, you can still raise money from suckas that don’t you know you dropped out of the game.” He then added, “…the federal government will give you matching dollars for those same funds so you can stack your money, stack your money and stack your money until you need a ladder and then your campaign is out of debt.”
