

On Wednesday (Oct. 31), the night of Halloween, Mac Miller‘s tribute concert titled A Celebration of Life was made available for fans to watch in full via multiple live-stream sites such as YouTube and Tidal.
Taking place at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, the concert featured many of music’s biggest artists, many of whom either worked with or was close to the late Pittsburgh rapper.
Here are some of the key moments from the heartfelt show.

1. Travis Scott Reminds Us To Lend An Ear

During this performance, the 26-year old shared the importance of communication among friends and family. He focused on sharing the message of love. “Stay Strong. If you have a friend with you just always tell them you love them, always give your mom a kiss, always give your dad a hug, no matter if you mad at somebody, the next day check on them, It doesn’t matter, everybody is somebody,” he said in between his performances. “We all one, no matter skin color, hair, if you’re a rapper, basketball player, the keyword to this sh*t is motherf**king love”

2. John Mayer Announces T-Shirt Collaboration and Covers “Small Worlds”

Mayer, who was also a close friend to Miller, announced during his set an exclusive t-shirt collaboration where all the proceeds will be going to charity. The tribute piece can be pre-ordered now for $50 with Nov. 18 as the expected shipping date. Mayer also charmed the audience with his guitar solos, one of which he did as part of his a cover performance of Mac Miller’s 2018 single “Small Worlds”.
3. Fans Hear Unreleased Mac Miller Music

On what appears to be a smartphone shot video, the late rap star sits at the piano singing a song that many have pointed out is more in line with an Elton John-style as the track is very stripped down. Although known to the world as a rapper, Miller shows off his impressive singing abilities.

4. Anderson .Paak’s Passionate “DANG!” Performance

The 32-year old wowed the audience with his drum performance. .Paak croons to his gold-selling single “DANG!,” that he was featured on for Miller’s fourth studio album The Divine Feminine back in 2016.
5. The “Best Day Ever” Video Montage
The Los Angeles-based show ended with a clip of Miller himself, from a previous recording, thanking everyone for coming. His song, “Best Day Ever,” plays over a series of photos throughout the young rapper’s life.
