50 Cent plans to right his wrongs with this latest gesture. The Queens native announced that he’s donating $100,000 to Autism Speaks in response to that viral video of the “Many Men” rapper poking fun at an autistic airport employee.
The Power executive issued a statement, posted by TMZ, which reads, “While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, please accept my sincere apologies for offending you. It was certainly not my intent to insult you and I wish you and your family well.”
Fifty later sent out a call to his fellow entertainers to follow in his footsteps, and donate to the organization.
“I am calling on my fellow musicians, actors, entertainers and all others who may not have fully considered this cause to join together to help in any way they can.”
In the original incident, Fifty placed the camera on Andrew Farrell, 19, and insinuated that he was under the influence while on the job. “This new generation is crazy. It’s crazy,” he said. “Look at him, What kind of sh*t do you think he took before coming to work today? He high as a motherf**er right here in the airport. His pupils dilated and everything.”
