In a recent interview with 92Q Jams, the Queens rapper-mogul, who’s set to drop his next LP Animal Ambition June 3, badmouthed Puff for trying to resurrect his music career.
“Puff still out there, he don’t even need a record, ’cause he don’t got one,” 50 said. “You know Puff ain’t got no music that you want to hear, that ‘Big Homie’ shit is garbage.”
For the zing, Fif also compared the Bad Boy CEO to an old act. “I’mma keep it all the way real with you, because the guy said, ‘Don’t worry about if I write rhymes, I write checks,’ and then sings to you,” he said, citing a line from Diddy’s 2001 “Bad Boy For Life.” “This is why we got rid of Mili Vanilli.”
This isn’t the first time Curtis Jackson has come for Sean Combs. In 2006, 50 called him “soft” on the mixtape cut “Hip-Hop”, criticizing Diddy for the backlash following Biggie’s death and deal with Ma$e.
