The music world is buzzing over the possibility of Tekashi going behind bars for a potential life sentence, just one week after firing his staff and canceling his tour. The 22-year-old and his cohorts were arrested on charges of racketeering and firearm possession. If convicted of these crimes and several others including conspiring to commit armed robbery, drug deals and shootings, he faces a minimum of 25 years in prison.
50 Cent, who has been a vocal supporter of the “FEFE” musician and calls him his “son,” of course had to comment on the news. However, it doesn’t look like he was offering any support this time around.
“My son got picked up, I told him don’t call me,” he wrote on Instagram accompanying a photo of him and the Brooklynite. “Sh*t. The Fed’s on you fool, call ya momma don’t put the FBI on my phone. positive vibes only.”
The NY duo have collaborated on a track “Get The Strap,” which was reportedly meant to appear on Fiddy’s show Power. He was also one of the first big names to co-sign the rainbow rapper.
“[Tekashi] is working on his self, we all have things we should work on,” 50 wrote in an Instagram post in the summer.
