Rookie rapper, and Bronx native, A-Boogie’s name and songs have been bubbling on New York City’s underground scene for a minute now. His melodic raps about a universal struggle with his personal Bronx twist has garnered the attention of the streets.
This week, Boogie released the video for “Jungle,” a song off his 2015 Artist mixtape about scheming fu*k boys. Now, this isn’t that classic New York hip-hop feel. But it’s catchy, the story is gripping and Boogie’s emotions seem to come from a real place.
However, the Dej Loaf influences are heavy — some may believe that he’s biting her style. This may or may not cause problems for the newcomer. Nevertheless, Boogie’s grind and the attention he’s garnered can’t be denied.
