Thanks to a Q-Tip tip, fans of the legendary group A Tribe Called Quest may be able to see the group in concert one last time.
“This is our last record, and we’ll probably do a world tour,” Q-Tip told Billboard. “After that, that’s it, for the rest of our lives.” Reports also note that the group has signed with worldwide artist representation agency, CAA.
The group released their final album We Got It From Here … Thank You 4 Your Service last week (Nov. 11), and performed on Saturday Night Live to some stellar reviews. This is also the last album to feature vocals from founding member Phife Dawg, who passed away earlier this year. The group has felt his energy in the months since his passing leading up to their album’s release.
“It was Phife who spearheaded this whole project — all we could do is make dope music and celebrate our man,” said Q.
Thank you for your service, ATCQ.
