It’s been almost twenty years since A Tribe Called Quest released their last album, The Love Movement. Last week, the Queens crew released their last album, We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service. And, this album has new as well as old-school hip-hop junkies in a severe hyperactive state of mind.
Following the lyrics video for the single, “We The People…,” ATCQ takes over the airwaves in New York City as Q-Tip–in his signature nasal delivery–talks to the the leaders of the world on behalf of the masses. The late Phife Dawg is memorialized on a mural as he spits his verse.
Busta Rhymes and Consequence make appearances in the video.
