A$AP Ferg is here to tell you despite your present circumstances, if you want better you can have better. After teasing his Missy Elliott assisted single “Strive” from his forthcoming album Always Strive and Proser, young Ferg has done his faithful fans a solid by releasing the full track equipped with a clever verse from the Misdemeanor herself.
The DJ Mustard and Stelios Phili produced record sonically pays homage to 90s house scene with a touch of soul. Ferg opens the nearly three minute song by rapping about his belly-inducing gig at Ben & Jerry’s and fearing he would grow to become his drug-selling Uncle Terry. Missy slides through in the second verse rapping about her Virginia roots, family dinners and her kinda mean Aunty Jean who dressed to the nines to sing at Sunday service.
If you’re in dire need of some encouragement, Ferg and Missy got you. Spin “Strive” below.
