But newcomer and fellow Canada native Alessia Cara just did us all one better by giving us an acoustic version.
Backed by drums and a guitar, the 19-year-old singer – who readily praises the “6 God” – offers a slowed-down alternative to Drake’s repeat-worthy song, in case you need a change of pace. Adding in her own riffs, Alessia sprinkles “Hotline Bling” with her smooth vocals and returns to her YouTube cover beginnings. The result is essentially a win for Drake, Alessia, and everyone.
