“With this album, I find I have much more I want to talk about”, said Keys. “This album is more about the concept, the thought I’m trying to get across, where in the past it’s been more about the melody. This time it’s more about what we’re going through as human beings.”
She even reveals one of the tracks’ titles, called “Killing Your Mother” – though she urges fans not to read it literally. “It’s about emotions. I’ll leave it at that,” she explained.
The untitled follow-up to her 2012 LP Girl On Fire is slated for a 2015 release.
