Singer-songwriter Ari Lennox has delivered an extra sensual visual to her official third single “BMO” off her critically acclaimed debut album Shea Butter Baby.
From the overhead camera shots to the classic bubble bath scene, the Child.-directed visual gives a nice ode to Missy Elliott and Total’s 1998 “Trippin” video directed by Joseph Kahn. Throughout the video, the D.C.-born R&B diva serves several outfit changes with her classic natural high-puff, Bantu knots, and slick high ponytail hairstyles.
“BMO” climbed up the charts where it currently sits in Urban Radio’s Top 20 and is continuing to rise on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Lennox performed an intoxicating performance of “I’ve Been” on COLORS Monday (Aug. 5) and will headline Live Nation Urban’s Femme It Forward music series in Philadelphia (Aug. 24). Shortly after, she’ll kick off her Shea Butter Baby International Tour in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.
Her lead single “Shea Butter Baby” sits at #13 at Urban AC Radio and is still climbing. The breakout visual directed by Bennet Johnson has garnered 18M views on YouTube since it’s an initial debut.
