Ariana Grande is on a roll and isn’t letting up. The singer recently teamed up with 2 Chainz for the “7 rings (Remix),” and the newest version might be even greater than the original.
The hip-hop-influenced song is pretty much the same as the first version, except for 2 Chainz’s additional verse.
The remix of “7 rings” is the perfect response to the stream of criticism Grande has received in the past month. Many accused the singer of stealing 2 Chainz’s pink trap house concept in her music video. The pop star was also slammed for borrowing flows from both Soulja Boy and Princess Nokia. Nevertheless, the remix is proof that Grande has been listening to the comments and adjusting accordingly.
The original version of the song will be feature on Grande’s upcoming studio album Thank U, Next, which is slated to drop on Feb. 8. Listen to Ariana Grande and 2 Chainz’s “7 rings (Remix)” below.
