Cardi B won the Grammy Award for “Best Rap Album” at the 61st Annual event, and while the Bronx-bred MC was reveling in her happy moment celebrating her first win, Ariana Grande tweeted that Mac Miller‘s loss was “literal bullsh*t.”
The pop star, whose ex-boyfriend was posthumously nominated for his last full-length album Swimming, swiftly deleted her comments, which reportedly said “f**k,” “trash,” and “literal bullsh*t” in three separate tweets, verifying her frustration with his loss. She later clarified that she wasn’t dissing Cardi, but was upset that Miller didn’t receive the win.
“nothing to do w her. good for her. i promise. i’m sorry,” she responded to a fan, detailing that the late-rapper slept in the studio for two months to work on the album.
In her acceptance speech, Cardi thanked her team, family, her daughter Kulture, and her husband Offset for their support through tears. The Migos member joined her on stage during her acceptance speech. Her album Invasion Of Privacy debuted at No. 1 in 2018.
