A$AP Rocky is addressing his recent guilty verdict after an alleged altercation he was involved in in Sweden last month. The rapper broke his silence on the news, which was announced yesterday (Aug. 14).
“I AM OF COURSE DISAPPOINTED BY TODAY’S VERDICT,” he wrote on Instagram accompanying a photo of him drinking from a mug. “I WANT TO SAY THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF MY FANS, FRIENDS, AND EVERYONE WHO SHOWED ME LOVE DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME. IMMA KEEP MOVING FORWARD. THANK YOU TO MY TEAM, MY MANAGEMENT, ATTORNEYS, LABEL AND EVERYONE WHO ADVOCATED FOR JUSTICE.”
According to reports, the Harlem native will not be serving jail time. However, he was ordered to pay $22,300 in restitution and legal fees to the alleged victim, 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari. This amount is a combined total that is to be paid by A$AP and the two co-defendants involved.
