Audio Push comes back around to give us a smooth and soulful number for the beautiful women of the world with their new jam, “Praise You”. The duo summoned Musiq Soulchild to cement the cool all over this record. It’s their latest single from their upcoming album, 90951.
The California duo of Oktaine and Price deliver a fantastic love letter to their women and spit profoundly sincere lyrics while examining how they’re still being the “nice guy” in an era where it isn’t so popular. They rap, “You don’t like clubs, I think that’s perfect/But chivalry died when girls called it thirsty/And I’m still finding myself opening doors, giving flowers and making sure you walk in first.”
The celebratory production creates the perfect soundscape for their uplifting lyrics and Music Soulchild’s heart melting vocals. In a quote from Price via Billboard, the duo wanted to express a message about uplifiting women in a culture where it shames them.

“With ‘Praise You’ we wanted to put a message out for our generation that strictly caters to praising women, the queens in the world.” Price tells Billboard. He also talks about how he managed to get the legendary Musiq Soulchild on the record. Crazy enough, he dreamed about it.
“Oktane and I wrote the hook for the song in the studio one night and recorded a demo,” he tells Billboard via e-mail. “That night I literally dreamt of Musiq Soulchild singing it. Our manager Terrence Huggins has an awesome relationship with Musiq and it turned out he was already a fan of our music and he loved the song. So he went in and killed it with his vocals.”
Their forthcoming album, 90951, is now available for pre-order and features BJ The Chicago Kid and OverDoz’s Kent Jams. There will also be production from Hit-Boy and Matthew Barnett as well.
