Los Angeleno rapper Azad is back with another offering, adding a little speed to and flipping Ginuwine’s “Pony” beat to deliver you the more sonically futuristic track, “Goddesses.” In this single from his forthcoming A Very Emotional EP, Azad boasts that he’s learning a lot from these haters as they get lost in the flavor. But his confidence paired with the haters’ cockiness allows him to flirt with goddesses, leaving his lesser opponents curved. In a plea prompting his goddess to “take what’s [her’s],” Azad embodies the spirit of “Pony,” impatiently inviting her to “come and ride it.”
Prior to the Millz Douglas-produced single and his forthcoming EP, Azad’s been building up Mind Of A Genius record label as VP, alongside CEO and founder, David Dann since 2013. Hosting artists who cater to their sound and have a far-and-few-between work ethic like Gallant and THEY., Azad’s personal manifesto of creating greatness for himself in order to be apart of greatness just may be coming into fruition.
Keep an eye out for his EP set to release Dec. 8 and check out the enchanting “Goddesses” trap-ballad above.
