By now, it is pretty clear that Azealia Banks doesn’t care what the masses think of her opinions. In her latest display of “idgaf,” the Harlem rapstress made a Twitter plea for “black media” to discontinue press regarding her. Blaming black publications for the damaging of her brand, Banks also detached herself from black media’s alleged “black Christian social beliefs.”
Banks’ rant began after she caught wind of an article in the latest issue of Ebony that addressed her “cultural smudging” sentiments towards Iggy Azalea. Marking it as her first time in the magazine, Banks took issue with her premier article being “in discussion with another white woman.” In a tweet that has since been deleted, she called black media “counter-productive.”

Almost immediately garnering backlash for her statement, Banks followed up her request with a vow to “turn my back and act like I’m white,” expressing excitement for “how many new doors open” thereafter.
