You know that hole Azealia Banks has been digging herself into lately? Well, it just got a lot bigger.
The “Big Big Beat” rapper has officially been dropped from her headlining spot on Rinse FM’s Born & Bred Festival in London after her hateful and racist comments towards U.K.’s sweetheart, Zayn Malik went viral.
As if setting off Zayn fans wasn’t enough, The “Yung Rapunxel” artist managed to piss off the Rinse FM sponsors as well.
“We have decided to cancel Azealia Banks’ headline appearance at Rinse Born & Bred. Rinse Born & Bred is a celebration of rave culture and has been created for EVERYONE. We celebrate inclusivity and equality,” a statement from festival executives stated on the official Twitter account.

Backtracking to what caused the festival to renege on their headlining deal, it all started after the rapper claimed Zayn was jocking some of her visuals.
“Damn Zayn be mood boarding the f–k out of me” she wrote on Instagram, sharing visuals from his latest video, “Like I Would” and a collage of hers’. “I’m not mad about this though,” she added.
Oddly enough Zayn, tweeted, “No lies … I see you reaching but I don’t care,” which he later explained was not about the beef. But in true Azealia fashion, the rapper ran with it, which prompted the former One Direction member to address her directly. “@AZEALIABANKS why you been saying nasty things about me? I wasn’t talking about you lol,” he said.
A fired up Azealia, carried on referencing his family, Zayn’s Arab background, and calling him derogatory terms in reference to his religion and culture, such as “punjab.”
“U.S.A IS ABOUT TO TEACH YOU WHO NOT TO F–K WITH!!” she tweeted. “When your entire extended family has been obliterated by good ol the U.S of A will you still be trying to act like a white boy pretending to be black? Do you understand that you are a sand n—– who emulates white boys’ renditions of black male hood? Do you know how lost and culture less you are?”
The rapper doesn’t seem to be saying much on Twitter after the news was announced. Maybe this means she (and hopefully her publicist) is taking some time to come up with a damage control plan.
