Following a reported incident between Russell Crowe and Azealia Banks, the latter is stepping into the national spotlight to share her side of the story on camera.
The Harlemite stopped by Access Hollywood, and gave an emotional interview on the reported physical assault. “Because every time, every time something like this happens I’m always like being blamed for like wanting this kind of attention,” she said.
She later tried to hold back tears when she mentioned that Crowe allegedly spat on her. “Like who the fu*k wants to tell somebody they got spat on? You know, that’s humiliating,” the “212” rapper said. “And I’m just like really, really humiliated.”
Earlier this month, Banks attended a party hosted by Crowe at the Beverly Hills hotel, as RZA’s guest. According to the Wu-Tang Clan member, Banks became erratic and physically threatened another party guest. Crowe intervened and allegedly picked up Banks to eject her from the party.
“Before the night is over Azealia is insulting half the room she becomes loud and obnoxious. There was nothing funny about her behavior. I felt a little embarrassed because she was my guest. Still verbal abuse can be tolerated but when it goes physical…,” RZA said. “Azealia threaten[ed] to cut a girl in the face with a glass, then actually grabs a glass and physically attacks for no logical reason. Russell blocked the attack and expelled her from the suite.”
The Harlemite added that Crowe called her a racial epithet, but the Australian actor has yet to reveal his side of the incident.
