
Azealia Banks has returned to social media bearing a musical gift for fans. After a mini hiatus, the artist dropped her forthcoming project, Slay-Z for free.99. Thursday (March 24.)
In a now deleted tweet, Banks explained an incident with her engineer prompted the early release of the mixtape, Billboard reports. After the engineer allegedly leaked the tracks, the Harlem rapper took a direct approach with her fans by dropping a WeTransfer link that skips the streaming process.

The project features production from KAYTRANADA, Fame School Slim and Jimmy Iovine’s son Jamie Iovine, as well as guest features from Nina Sky and Rick Ross on the tracks, “Big Talk” and “Riot” respectively. Banks, 24, also reveals her song “Can’t Do It Like Me” was originally for Rihanna.
