
A memorial park in Brooklyn honoring Beastie Boys member Adam Yauch received a fresh paint job after it was found vandalized with swastikas and the words “Go Trump” Friday (Nov. 18).

The memorial was repainted a day later with hearts and positive messages, reports the Huffington Post.
In addition, the Beastie Boys’ official Twitter account announced a rally in Brooklyn Sunday (Nov. 20), to take “a stand against hate message.”

The vandalism was the latest in sting of racist messages in wake of President-elect Donald Trump’s big election win against Hillary Clinton.
Yauch who was Jewish, passed away from Cancer in 2012. He was 47.
