
Beyonce and her talented self did what we all expected, but still weren’t prepared for. She released her album Lemonade Saturday night (April 23) while we all were busy watching the visuals for it on HBO.
Mrs. Carter’s new record comes after her highly publicized and controversial Super Bowl halftime performance in which she sang her racially charged song “Formation” and led a fleet of background dancers dressed as Black Panthers who raised their fists in unison, and formed an X on the field in honor of slain Civil Rights Leader Malcolm X.
As fans around the world were glued to their television sets to watch Bey’s artistic visual display for her latest body of work, and Twitter was Twitter-ing, the 12-track record was uploaded onto Tidal.
