After seeing astronomical numbers in subscribers and streams of Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo album, Tidal’s taste for continuing their winning streak continues thanks to Beyonce’s quenchable Lemonade.
The project, which was a surprise release (Apr. 23), was exclusively made available on Tidal upon its debut. For fans to hear the album in its entirety or watch its visual component, they had to subscribe to the streaming site. Although the soundscape was made available on iTunes later that same weekend, Tidal garnered 1.2 million new users, Fortune reports.
In an additional report by the New York Times, Bey’s current soundscape was streamed over 306 million times worldwide. NYT also reveals that a few fan favorites that boast those streaming digits include “Hold Up,” “Sorry,” and “Don’t Hurt Yourself.”
The Houstonian is currently on her global Formation World Tour, pulling into Pasadena, Calif., this evening (May 14).
