Big Sean orchestrated an epic return to his hometown for his Detroit show at the Joe Louis Arena. The “Finding Paradise” show was the rapper’s first performance in Detroit for over two years and to commemorate his homecoming, he welcomed special apperances from Lil Wayne and Eminem.
“Detroit, I love you more than anything in the world,” Sean told the crowd. And to show just how much love he has for his city, the “Blessings” didn’t stop with two special guests. He also shared the moment with Jhene Aiko, Mic Posner, Dej Loaf and Danny Brown.
While many of the artists featured joined Big Sean to perform feature singles like “I Know” with Jhene Aiko and “Back Up” with Dej Loaf, Lil Wanye awarded the audience with a mini-set of his own. The New Orleans native performed his solo track “A Milli” and his feature with Sean on ” Deep” from Dark Sky Paradise.
In the show’s encore, Sean brought on fellow Detroit fam, Eminem in a rare appearance. Slim Shady doesn’t often make on-stage cameos, but it seemed to make an exception, bringing down the house with “Everybody vs Detroit” featuring Big Sean, Danny Brown, Royce da 5’9,” Trick-Trick and Loaf.
