“One Man Can Change The World” has a lot of meaning to Big Sean, and now the Detroit native is readying it as the next single off his album Dark Sky Paradise. Taking to his Twitter and Instagram accounts this evening (June 18), the Roc Nation member revealed the deep significance behind the Kanye West and John Legend-featured melody.
“I hope my grandma is looking down smiling on me right now,” he said. “Because the struggles she went through to become a female black captain in WW2, one of the 1st female black officers in Detroit, a teacher/counselor, an amazing mom/grandma were too great for this song not to be a single.”
The “My Last” rapper also mentioned that given previous events that have rocked the nation this year, the arrival of this track as a single is pertinent. “Never had a song like this be a single, it’s different then what’s on radio, but I feel it’s needed w/ all the craziness goin on right now..” he tweeted.
