As the man behind the Originals Metro Attitude and two other adidas sneaker creations, Big Sean’s latest collaboration with the iconic shoe brand puts Detroit’s children on the right foot.
The European shows of the UKnowBigSean tour kick off June 11 in Stuttgart, Germany, but the rapper made a pit stop in his hometown of Detroit just a few days before his overseas trip. With the help of adidas, Sean Don opened a recording studio at his alma mater, Cass Technical High School (June 8). The venue named “The Sean Anderson Studio of Infinite Possibilities,” spans 784-square-feet of space, The Source reports.

“I can’t believe I used to rap at the lunch tables, slang my CDs in the hallways, and fast forward less than 10 years later I’m opening up my own recording studio at my old High School Cass Tech for the students! This brings me tears of Joy!” the rapper said on Instagram.
The 2,300 students of Cass Tech were blessed with the studio as an effort of the Sean Anderson Foundation, the lyricist’s initiative to “assist in the education, health, safety and well-being of Detroit Area school-aged youth as well disadvantaged youth in other areas across the nation.” The foundation’s most recent campaign, It Takes One, is already in full force.

In addition to working with the rapper on building the studio, adidas featured the Cass Tech football team in their commercial, shot in February.
