It’s been a long time coming for Bobby Shmurda, but according to reports, the “Hot N—a” rapper may soon breathe fresh air, as his legal team is making a push to spring him out of prison.
According to TMZ, Shmurda’s family has been working closely with New York bondsman Ira Judelson and gathered the $2 million collateral for his pricy bond, most notably his aunt who placed several properties on the market for his release.
Shmurda’s legal team is confident the bond hearing will go well and drafted a 200 page document that outlines the source of every dollar accrued for Shmurda’s release. Although signed to Epic Records, the label did not offer to post or contribute to the rapper’s bail.
Shmurda, real name Ackquille Jean Pollard along with other members of GS9 have been in prison since last year after being charged with a host of crimes including conspiracy to commit second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
This will be the Brooklyn emcees sixth attempt at making bail.
