For years, Brian Cid has been building a steady reputation as an acclaimed audio engineer, working for the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, and Talib Kweli. His mentor, Chicago house legend Todd Terry praises his productions claiming he has, “The Midas touch.” On the dance floor, his signature thundering drums have the crowd in constant motion. He has previously released on imprints like Nervous, InHouse, and Stereo.
Brian Cid’s productions have traversed through different realms of house, techno, and even hip-hop, under the radar, that led him to start his own label Extinct Records with Platinum-charting International DJ/producer Glenn Morrison.
‘Timelapse’ is the second release on the imprint and has garnered support from Roger Sanchez, Hot Since 82, Chus + Ceballos, and Mark Knight. It’s a pulsating six-tracker with sharp, bouncy bass lines, dark underwater-like grooves layered with airy, intoxicating rhythms all coming together under the universal laws of house.
