The SaveMoney crew is having quite a year.
After Vic Mensa’s powerful “There’s A Lot Going On” and Chance The Rapper’s invigorating “Coloring Book,” you couldn’t have possibly believed they were done. Let us be the first to tell you they weren’t and rightfully so.
Brian Fresco, who’s also a part of the SaveMoney crew, dropped a dancehall track yesterday (June 28), and it’s basically everything this summer has been missing. The track, which is titled “Higher,” features Chance The Rapper and Blue Hawaii, and together, all three artist adequately contribute to the resurgence of the genre as they take turns talking about a night in the club they hope will take them ‘higher’.
In an interview with the Fader, Fresco said of the song, “I wanted to try something musically I’ve never done before with my homie Trevor, and despite one of my friends telling me my heart wasn’t in it, I still knew this song was a hit.”
“Higher” is a hit indeed.
