Bruno Mars is shaping up to have a successful fourth quarter before he dominates 2017 with his forthcoming world tour. To add to his splendid return to the music scene following the release of his album 24K Magic, Live Nation reports that his global trek has sold one million tickets within the span of a full day.
To accommodate fans’ desires to see the award-winning artist live, 15 dates were tacked onto his performance sheet. He recently gave spectators a taste of what to expect when he performed at Sunday’s American Music Awards (Nov. 20), bringing his high-energy persona to the Nokia Theatre.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Mars spoke on his fear of following-up one of his most recognizable hits, “Uptown Funk” and satisfying his fans with his latest body of work.
“Coming off the biggest song of my career, it was super-daunting to come in here,” he said. “I don’t know if people are going to love this sh*t. I don’t know if radio is going to play it. But what I don’t want to have happen is I put it out and say, ‘Damn it, if I’d just done this and this, maybe it would have had a shot.”
