This past weekend Bruno Mars did double duty on Saturday Night Live. The “Grenade” singer performed and hosted during the hour-and-half-long sketch show. Mars, who is getting ready to release his sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox this December, admitted he didn’t have much acting experience and that he possibly bit off more than he could chew in the opening monologue, but truth be told the 27-year-old held his own, breezing through skits comfortably. Sure his impression of a guy from New York warrants some improvement, but he brought the laughs.
In addition to playing an intern forced to karaoke in the Pandora offices, a seventeen-year-old girl and creepy amusement park animatron, Mars performed the new album cut “Locked Out of Heaven” and debuted “Young Wild Girls.” Watch the clips below.
UPDATE: The song is titled “Young Girls” not “Young Wild Girls,” as originally reported and labeled in the official ‘SNL’ video.
