Bryson Tiller’s glo’ up is very real. Back in October 2015, a mostly Soundcloud-bound Tiller was still soaking up the positive (soon to be fanatic) reception to his debut project TRAPSOUL. Now, a mere five months later, he’s selling out shows on his worldwide Trapsoul Tour like wildfire, getting top billing at international festivals and has found a fan in some of Hollywood’s elite, such as Michael B. Jordan, Chris Brown and Kylie Jenner.
What could possibly make his moment any more sweeter? A local holiday and the key to his city, that’s what.
During a tour stop in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, the office of Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer came on stage to present Tiller with a certificate officially declaring March 12 “Bryson Tiller Day.” In addition to that, Pen Griffey received the key to the city.
Several people, including DJ Akademiks, were on hand to record the moment, Big Sean was also in the mix due to a surprise appearance at the show.
