Bun B’s Return of the Trill is slated to hit streaming services Aug. 31. But first, the Trill O.G. steps out with “Recognize” featuring T.I. and Big K.R.I.T.
Here, the Deep South kings kick country game over thumping horns and snares. Despite being in the shadows of the rap game the past few years, Big Bun hasn’t missed a step.
Bit*h, I’m old school like an Acura/Flip flows like a spatula/Verses full of vernacular/Creep up on ya like a tarantula/Darker than blacklia/No speculation, I’m spectacular,” raps the Port Arthur, TX. native.
This will be Bun’s first album since 2013’s Trill OG: The Epilogue. Capping out at 14 tracks, Return of the Trill will feature cameos from 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, Slim Thug, Run the Jewels, Lil Wayne, 8Ball & MJG, Leon Bridges, and more.
Back in March, the former Rice University Professor of Hip-Hop and Religion released the Lil Ke Ke and Slim Thug-assisted “Knowhatimsayin.”
