The laconic flow that Killa Cam is using on this new track, “U Wasn’t There,” is same flow that he used back in the early ’00s when he had the streets of NYC yelling “Dipset!”
With that being said, I’m excited to hear what Cam unearths in the near future on his supposedly final album, especially if he keeps up this laid-back flow. In this self-directed video, the 145th and Broadway (Harlem) rep’ takes a trip down memory lane to show love to everyone who’s helped him along the path of his snotty nosed days to the flamboyant Killa Cam that he is today.
This is the first single from his forthcoming, and supposedly final album, Purple Haze 2, slated to drop sometime this year.
Also, the good folks over at The Fader had Killa ID everyone that he named in the song. Check it out here.
